This wine was born in the shadow of Etna, in a valley between the Nebrodi mountain range and the volcano. A valley that has always seen the union between a man and a vine. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets and immediately crushed and separated from the stems.

Grape variety: Nerello Mascalese

Vinification: The crushed grapes are collected in stainless steel tanks where fermentation takes place in the presence of the marc at a temperature of 26-28°C.
Once alcoholic fermentation is finished, the wine remains in the presence of the marc for another week before racking. After one year of aging in steel containers, the wine is refined 3-6 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes: deep ruby red colour with good texture. The nose has hints of ripe berries and spices. In the mouth it is fresh with soft tannins and a discreet savoriness and quite persistent.

Food pairing: pairs well with boiled meats, game, fresh cheeses (primo sale and Nebrodi provola).

Alcohol content: 13% Vol.

Serving temperature: 14-16°C

Awards: 5StarWines (vintage 2020): 92/100
