Tenute Perdarubia was founded in 1949 by Mario Mereu. Ever since then, everything was focused on Cannonau. In just a few years, the winery contributed in  making this grape variety known internationally. The founder’s work was continued by Renato Mereu, who planted their first own vineyards in 1971. Since the early 1980s the company has been processing only its own grapes. In 2014, the winery passed to the third generation, and has embarked on a major renovation and revitalization.

Grape variety: Cannonau

Vinification: Fermentation takes place in steel vats. The maturation is also in steel with subsequent bottling. The use of free-run must only reduces the yield of wine, to the advantage of the final quality.

Tasting notes: Ruby red with purple reflections, typical of his youth. Nose: The nose shows intense fruit and a hint of wood: On the palate, it explodes in the balance that has always shaped it.

Alcohol content: 14% Vol.

Food pairing: pasta, lasagna or typical Sardinian dishes

Serve at 16°-18°C

Awards: 3 Bicchieri di Gambero Rosso (2018)
