The wines of Villa Corniole evolve and transform to the slow rhythms nature sets in the Cembra Valley — mountain wines shaped by a unique, high-altitude terroir and an extreme climate, which need time to express and hold their character.
Grape variety: Chardonnay, Müller-Thurgau
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested towards the end of September. The Müller-Thurgau and half of the Chardonnay ferment and age in stainless steel at controlled temperature; the rest of the Chardonnay ages in barrique.
Tasting notes: Deep straw-yellow. A fine, intense and complex nose of tropical fruit and citrus woven with spice. Sapid and mineral on the palate, with the lively acidity typical of mountain wines; dry and persistent.
Food pairing: ideal with a range of first courses, fish and white meats — a wine of remarkable complexity and structure.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Serving temperature: 10–12°C.
Awards: Gilbert & Gaillard 92/100.
