Moscato d'Asti — often simply "Moscato" — is a charming sweet wine from the picturesque Asti area of Piedmont, loved worldwide for its luscious sweetness, gentle fizz and enchanting floral aromas.
Grape variety: Moscato Bianco
Vinification: The grapes are pressed and the must decanted, then stored in refrigerated autoclaves at controlled temperature, where the gas produced during fermentation is retained to create the characteristic gentle perlage. Fermentation uses selected yeasts to bring out the grape's aromatics. Rested briefly in bottle.
Tasting notes: Golden yellow. An inviting bouquet with memories of fresh fruit; persistent on the palate, with sweetness and acidity in fine balance.
Food pairing: excellent as an aperitif and with desserts, especially dry pastries.
Alcohol content: 5.5% vol.
Serving temperature: 6–8°C.
