Tenute Perdarubia was founded in 1949 by Mario Mereu, with everything focused on Cannonau from the start; within a few years the winery had helped make the grape known internationally. Renato Mereu continued the work, planting the first estate vineyards in 1971, and since the early 1980s the winery has worked only its own grapes. In 2014 it passed to the third generation and began a major renovation and revival.
