The Pecorino d’Abruzzo by Tenuta Antonini is an elegant white wine that beautifully expresses the freshness and minerality of the Abruzzo region. The grapes are grown in selected vineyards in the rolling hills of the province of Teramo, where the combination of Mediterranean climate, the proximity of the Adriatic Sea, and the cooling influence of the Gran Sasso mountains creates ideal conditions for producing aromatic and well-balanced white wines. This Pecorino combines tradition with modern winemaking techniques and represents an authentic interpretation of one of the region’s most characteristic grape varieties.

Grape Variety: 100% Pecorino

Vinification: The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and carefully selected. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures in order to preserve the freshness, aromatic profile, and natural structure of the grape variety. The wine then matures for several months on fine lees, gaining additional complexity, elegance, and balance.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, the wine shows a bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose reveals a fresh and aromatic bouquet with notes of citrus fruits, white peach, and delicate floral hints, accompanied by subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, the Pecorino is lively and well balanced, with pleasant freshness, good structure, and an elegant, persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Ideal with fish dishes, seafood, light appetizers, Mediterranean salads, as well as white meat and fresh cheeses.

Alcohol Content: 13% vol.

Serving Temperature: 10–12°C

Awards: 5 StarWines 90/100, Zosimo Wine Critic 91/100, Falstaff 89/100
