The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo by Tenuta Antonini is a wine that expresses the authentic character of the Abruzzo region and the strong connection between tradition and terroir. Produced from carefully selected grapes grown in the rolling hills of the province of Teramo, this wine reflects the winery’s commitment to quality and respect for local winemaking heritage. The Mediterranean climate, combined with the influence of the nearby Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso mountains, creates ideal conditions for producing wines of depth, structure, and balance.

Grape Variety: 100% Montepulciano

Vinification: The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and carefully selected before vinification. After destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the grape’s natural aromas and structure. The wine then undergoes 4 months of maturation that enhances its balance and allows the varietal characteristics of Montepulciano to fully express themselves.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate it is full-bodied, smooth, and well balanced, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness that supports the rich fruit character. The finish is harmonious and persistent.

Food Pairing: Perfect with traditional Italian cuisine, grilled meats, pasta with rich sauces, roasted dishes, and aged cheeses.

Alcohol Content: 13.5% vol.

Serving Temperature: 16–18°C

Awards: Decanter Silver Medal, 50 Great Red Wines Silver Medal, Merano Wine Hunter
