The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Riserva is an exceptional and prestigious red wine that represents the highest expression of the Valpolicella tradition. Produced in the historic Classico area and crafted only from the finest grapes, this Riserva highlights the depth, elegance, and complexity that define great Amarone. Thanks to the traditional appassimento process, in which carefully selected grapes are dried after harvest, the wine develops remarkable concentration, structure, and aromatic intensity.

Grape Varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella

Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously selected before undergoing the traditional appassimento process, during which they are naturally dried for several months to concentrate sugars and aromas. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place slowly at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for an extended period in oak barrels, followed by further maturation in bottle. This long ageing process allows the wine to develop exceptional depth, harmony, and complexity.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, the wine reveals an intense deep ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of ripe cherries, dried fruits, and plums, complemented by notes of spices, cocoa, and hints of tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, the Amarone Riserva is powerful, full-bodied, and velvety, with well-integrated tannins and impressive structure. The finish is long, warm, and persistent, showing remarkable elegance and depth.

Food Pairing: Ideal with braised meats, game, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. It is also excellent as a contemplative wine to enjoy on its own.

Alcohol Content: 16% vol.

Serving Temperature: 16–18°C

Awards: James Suckling 92/100, Luca Maroni 96/100, Falstaff 93/100
