Crafted by Camilla Rossi Chauvenet at Massimago, "Duchessa Allegra" is a bright, lively white showing the personality of 100% Garganega from limestone-rich soils. Certified organic and carefully harvested, it's a refined, mineral-driven take on the grape, with both freshness and finesse.

Grape variety: 100% Garganega — from vines averaging around 70 years old at the Massimago estate in Mezzane di Sotto.

Vinification: hand-harvested in September, part picked early for freshness and the rest at full ripeness. After gentle crushing and brief skin contact in the press, the juice ferments cold in stainless steel, then rests three months on the fine lees in tank and a further three months in bottle.

Tasting notes: Bright straw yellow with pale green highlights. Zesty grapefruit, green apple and delicate white flowers, with the occasional hint of melon. Crisp and clean, with juicy citrus and orchard fruit, taut minerality, refreshing acidity and a bright, persistent finish.

Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.

Food pairing: perfect for garden aperitifs, grilled fish, shellfish such as oysters and clams, light pasta with clams or mussels, or a ginger-rosemary risotto. Its minerality also loves fresh goat's cheese and antipasti.

Serving temperature: 10–12°C.

Awards (2023 vintage): Luca Maroni 94/100.
