Crafted by Camilla Rossi Chauvenet at Massimago, "Duchessa Allegra" is a bright and lively white wine showcasing the personality of 100% Garganega from vineyards rooted in limestone-rich soils. Certified organic and harvested with care, this wine offers a refined, mineral-driven expression of the grape, capturing both freshness and finesse.

Grape variety: Garganega 100% — sourced from vines averaging around 70 years old, planted in high-density rows at Massimago estate in Mezzane di Sotto

Vinification: The grapes undergo hand-harvest in September. A portion is picked earlier to preserve vibrant freshness, while the remainder is harvested at perfect ripeness. After gentle crushing and a brief skin contact in the press, the juice undergoes cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by three months on the fine lees in tank and an additional three months aging in the bottle, preserving a crisp and expressive character.

Tasting notes: right straw yellow with pale green highlights. Zesty grapefruit, green apple, delicate white floral notes, with occasional melon nuances. Crisp and clean with juicy citrus and orchard fruit, taut minerality, refreshing acidity, and a bright, persistent finish.

Alcohol content: 12.50% vol.

Food pairing: Perfect for garden aperitifs, grilled fish, shellfish like oysters and clams, light pasta with clams or mussels, or refreshing cereals such as ginger rosemary risotto. Its vibrant minerality also pairs wonderfully with fresh goat cheeses and antipasti.

Serving temperature 10-12°C
