A fresh, young Sangiovese from the Montalcino area of Tuscany. The name honours grandfather Giuseppe, known locally as "Beppino di Brigo". Where Sangiovese shows its best, this wine grows on the north-west side of the hill, across some 4 hectares.
Grape variety: Sangiovese
Vinification: most of the grapes ferment in 50-hectolitre wooden vats; the wine then matures in medium- to large-format wooden casks.
Tasting notes: a fresh, youthful Sangiovese with balanced red-fruit aromas, lively acidity and a harmonious, juicy palate.
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Food pairing: salami, sausages and cheese.
Serving temperature: 16–18°C.
