The Tschaupp from the Schweitzer winery is a white made from Chardonnay grown near Merano, in vineyards with a privileged exposure at 450 m above sea level.
Grape variety: Chardonnay
Vinification: fermented partly in steel tanks at a controlled 18°C, and 30% in acacia barrels with a slow, controlled fermentation.
Tasting notes: A bright, pale yellow in the glass; a floral, fruity and mineral bouquet with clear notes of apple. Elegant and fine on the palate, with a touch of acidity. Ageing potential: up to 10 years.
Food pairing: ideal chilled as an aperitif, or with pasta and vegetables, fish dishes or sushi.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Serve at 12–14°C.
