Pure Vermentino, with Mediterranean citrus notes and a fresh, full flavour, Monnallegra expresses the spirit of the Tuscan Maremma: sunny, joyful and genuine, like Monna Allegra's eyes. Curiosity: Monna is the abbreviation of Madonna, a courtly title for a lady used before women's names; jokingly it can also mean drunkenness — 'prendere la monna' in fact means getting drunk.

Grape variety: Vermentino 100%

Vinification: after harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at controlled temperature. After two months' ageing in steel tanks, it is bottled young to preserve its freshness and aromas.

Tasting notes: a smooth, elegant aperitif wine. Bright straw-yellow in the glass. A pure Vermentino with a fresh, fruity taste. Intense, floral notes of citrus and Mediterranean spice on the nose. Fresh, full and aromatic on the palate, with a fruity finish.

Food pairing: ideal as an aperitif and to accompany seafood and vegetable dishes.
