This Pinot Nero from the Oltrepò Pavese elegantly expresses the gentle character of the Pinot Noir grape. The Bisi family vinifies the 'Calonga' with about 12 months' ageing in wood, which enriches and harmonises the wine, making it complete and very pleasant.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Vinification: produced from Pinot Noir grapes only. The grapes are hand-harvested into small crates, with careful selection of the best bunches. The must macerates with the skins in stainless-steel vats. Finally, the wine ages for 12 months in barriques.
Tasting notes: medium-deep ruby red. Elegant nose with notes of ripe wild fruits such as raspberry, currant and blackberry. Harmonious and pleasant on the palate.
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Food pairing: cheese, meat and game dishes.
Serve at 16–18°C
