This pure Sangiovese is a tribute to the ancient winemaking tradition not only due to its production in terracotta, but also due to the extended maceration of the grapes of approximately three months. Depending on the vintage and considering the long extraction time, the required ageing time is determined before bottling. Featuring a bold yet balanced tannin profile and brightness that is maintained over the years, Orci Sangiovese stands out for its highly manual production process and the varietal’s particular intensity.

Grape variety: Sangiovese 100 %

Tasting notes: Bright golden yellow in colour. Aroma of apricots, ripe peach and medicinal herbs. It is bold and solid on the palette due to its freshness and volume. Slightly savoury aftertaste with notes of citrus. Youthful and refreshing with an intriguing vitality that will be at its best in a few years.

Food pairing: Asian cuisine, fish, white meat, fish soups, semi-hard cheeses, main courses with mushrooms.

Alcohol content: 14 %

Recommended serving temperature of 14 °C.
If stored under ideal conditions, it will reach peak maturity in 10 years.
