Societa Agricola Fay was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay who, starting from a small family-run wine producing business, decided to expand the estate’s activities; since 1998, Sandro has been flanked by his children Marco and Elena. The business area is 15 hectares. The La Faya vineyard, replanted in 1997, covers an area of 1 hectare in Carterìa, a small hamlet in the commune of Teglio at an altitude of 550 metres. With the peculiar type of soil present in the vineyard, Sandro Fay has decided to experiment by creating a blend of several grape varieties.

Grape variety: Merlot, Syrah

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank for 2 weeks with maceration of 7 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in 500 lt oak barrels.

Tasting notes: Intense ruby ​​red color with orange reflections. Enveloping notes of red fruits with spicy and floral nuances characterize the olfactory profile. On the palate it is enveloping, captivating, elegant and of excellent structure.

Food pairing: red meat and stewed game.

Alcohol content: 14% vol.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C
