The La Faya vineyard, replanted in 1997, covers an area of 1 hectare in Carterìa, a small hamlet in the commune of Teglio at an altitude of 550 metres, with the peculiar type of soil present in the vineyard, Sandro Fay has decided to experiment by creating a blend of several grape varieties.
Grape variety: Merlot, Syrah.
Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank for 2 weeks with maceration of 7 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in 500 lt oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color with orange reflections. Enveloping notes of red fruits with spicy and floral nuances characterize the olfactory profile. On the palate it is enveloping, captivating, elegant and of excellent structure.
Alcohol content: 14 vol. %
Food pairing: red meat and stewed game.
Serve at 16°-18°C
