In 2008, the Peppucci family was expanded with the birth of Giovanni, Filippo's eldest son. In the same year, the first vintage of Umbria IGT “Giovanni” fulfilled the desire to produce a wine that expresses the qualities of the Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the “Vigna dei Sassi”: a wine of limited production, which is the result of a rigorous selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which, depending on the year, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes are combined to chase the Bordeaux myth.

Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The maceration on the skins lasts between 18 and 21 days.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby red color. The nose offers complex aromas with notes of menthol, hay and raspberry jam. The palate is persistent, ripe and shows dense and concentrated tannins.

Food pairing: juicy beef dishes and game dishes

Alcohol content: 13.5 % vol.

Serve at 16°-18°C
