Grape variety: 50% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
Vinification: The vinification was carried out separately in small steel tanks, in order to respect the respective character of the different grape varieties in the fermentation phases. The alcoholic fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation, again in steel. The aging, which lasted 10 months, was carried out partly in barriques aged 2-4 years in third occupation, which were previously occupied by Ornellaia, and partly in cement tanks to obtain a perfect balance between tannic structure and expression of fruit.
Tasting notes: Dense, rich ruby colour. Expressive on the nose, fruity and fresh. Lots of black fruit, plums, warm spice, some cassis. Refined and elegant on the palate, with the necessary power to prove that it is not a dazzler, despite its intense fruity nose. Exceptionally balanced, accessible and harmonious.
Food pairing: Enjoy it with pasta with coniglio, or scaloppine al limone.
Alcohol content: 13,5% vol.
